Pangrams

These are sentences which contain all the letters of the English alphabet. The challenge is to use the fewest number of characters to create a logically and gramatically correct sentence.
Pangrams first came to my attention when I was testing fonts in Windows XP, and instead of seeing the most famous one:

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

I saw:

Jackdaws love my big sphinx of quartz.

This got me started on a web search, where I found many many Pangram (and related word game) pages. Here are some more pangrams:

Pack my box with five dozen lacquer jugs.

Brawny gods just flocked up to quiz and vex him.

The wizard jumped quickly over seven green boxes.

Dave quickly spotted four women dozing in the jury box.

John quickly extemporized five tow bags.

Farmer Jack realized that big yellow quilts were expensive.

Jay began removing six dozen black quilts with petty flaws.

John P. Brady gave me a fine black walnut box of quite small size.

Brown jars prevented the mixture from freezing too quickly.
